Friday Film Festival: Saul Bass

It's Friday again which means I get to post some more great (and famous) title sequences.
This week is PSYCHO and ANATOMY OF A MURDER by Saul Bass.

ISO50: Scott Hansen

I really enjoy the portfolio of SCOTT HANSEN because it is so stylized and so extremely retro, you'd recognize his work with just a glance. I believe he's mostly known for his clothing graphics. His site has music so turn on your speakers.

Etsy: Red Heather

Fashion Illustration is unique with its exaggerated proportions and graphic strokes, designed to sell an idea. I would love to use fashion illustration in a marketing campaign someday.

This piece can be found at RED HEATHER. It would be nice to see the artist create a series in this style.

Street Art: Wooster Collective

WOOSTER COLLECTIVE, is dedicated to showcasing and celebrating ephemeral art placed on streets in cities around the world. If you feel the need to participate in something like this after visiting the site . . . at least be clever.

Tip: Lomography

THIS SITE will give you instructions on how to make your photographs look like lomo photography. (Taken with a pinhole type of camera.) You can also go to THIS FLICKER GROUP to see more examples of before and after shots.

A little fun: Exploding Dog

Sam, the artist, will draw pictures from your titles. You can also order T-shirts, artwork, or a signed copy of any of his drawings. CLICK HERE for more information and drawings. On his site you see the titles before seeing the drawings. It's quite fun because you'd expect to see something completely different than what he has drawn.
